Foundation Verbals for Agility 10am
Service Description
Foundation Verbals for Agility This class will be a progressive class and will last for about 6 months. Sign-ups will run on a monthly basis for this class. Basic verbal cues will be introduced and then we will quickly progress into agility verbals. Verbal cues in agility training help dogs learn specific tasks and navigate courses more efficiently, allowing them to perform with more confidence and speed. By using clear and consistent verbal cues, handlers can communicate their intentions to their dogs, enhancing their understanding of the course and improving their performance. There are many benefits for Using Verbal Cues in agility. • Clear Communication: Verbal cues provide a clear way for handlers to communicate with their dogs, especially when physical cues are less effective or when distance handling is required. • Increased Independence: When dogs understand verbal cues, they can perform tasks and navigate courses more independently, even when the handler is not directly visible. • Enhanced Speed and Accuracy: By learning to respond to verbal cues, dogs can learn to react quickly and accurately to while improving their speed and accuracy on the course. • Increased Confidence: When dogs understand what is expected of them, they can approach obstacles and navigate courses with more confidence, knowing they have the tools to succeed. Prerequisite for foundation verbals: Basic Training, Foundation 1, a basic understanding of dog agility. Dogs should be over 6 month of age.
